City Council Approved
City Council of Fernley approved 3-2 on March 18th.
Here is how the City Council voted:
Yes -- Malloy, Ward 1
No -- Parsons, Ward 2
No -- Martin, Ward 3
Yes -- Chaffin, Ward 4
Yes -- Elrich, WardWard 5
Please remember their vote in the next election and vote according to your view on this matter.
What's Next?
This process is far from over and this was simply the first hurdle that Nevada Cement is facing.
BLM Scoping
The next course of action is to write Dan Erbes at the BLM in Carson City.
Letters MUST be postmarked by April 4th.
They are scoping the project right now and you can mail in a letter with your concerns. They take the letters VERY seriously, so please write if you can.
